As schools work on their Return to Learn plans for the 2020/21 school year, the healthcare professionals at Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) are reminding parents and caregivers that the time to schedule annual physicals and well-child exams is now. Precautionary measures during this COVID-19 pandemic have been enacted to ensure the safety of all patients and family members. Routine wellness exams, sports physicals and lab draws are being conducted at non-respiratory clinic times to ensure patients are not exposed to the coronavirus. In addition, MRHC has enacted extended hours for sports physicals to accommodate family schedules. Dedicated clinics will be offered on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. starting July 28 and continuing through the month of August. Appointments for physicals can also be scheduled during normal business hours. “At Manning Regional Healthcare Center, in addition to the sports physical, we can also review annual vaccinations and provide the well-child visit at the same time, minimizing the need for additional appointments for families,” says Family Practice Clinic Director, Shelby Dickson. Sports physical forms can be completed prior to the appointment and are available at the MRCH front entrance or through the links included below.
