Andrea (Andy) Carnaghe has rejoined the Mental Wellness Center (MWC) Board of Directors.
Since joining the MWC Board of Directors in 2010, Carnaghe has volunteered on the board for more than a decade, serving on several committees including finance, audit and nominating committees, as well as previously servings as board chair for the organization.
Carnaghe was raised in Goleta with her five brothers and sister, and graduated from Dos Pueblos High School. She moved to San Francisco where she completed college and then earned her CPA license while working for Price Waterhouse.
Carnaghe went on to create a successful staffing firm in San Francisco, specializing in the recruitment and placement of accountants in the Bay Area. After selling her staffing company in 2000, Carnaghe retired and spent time travelling.
In 2002, she moved back to Santa Barbara and started another business, Accounting a la Carte. Carnaghe also taught beginning and intermediate accounting at several colleges including Santa Barbara City College.
With some 30 years of accounting, bookkeeping and CFO experience, Carnaghe brings knowledge and expertise to the Mental Wellness Center Boards. She is also involved with the Santa Barbara Women’s Fund and was the chair of the Santa Barbara AA Convention in 2019.
Since 1947, the Mental Wellness Center has focused on the needs of those impacted by mental illness. Providing education and support, the center is dedicated to meeting the immediate and future needs of youth, adults, families and the greater community.
